FOUR HALLOWEEN RECIPES FOR YOUR NEXT MONSTER MASHUP

At Kodiak Cakes, Halloween is more than just clever costumes, pumpkin patches, and haunted houses; it gives us an excuse to get creative with some of our favorite recipes. This year, we’ve done just that. As you prep for a big night of passing out candy, dressing up for your local holiday party, or cozying up inside with treats and a scary movie, don’t forget to celebrate with one of our four festive Halloween recipes.

MONSTER PANCAKES

Our recipe for Monster Pancakes has been crafted to frighten even the scariest monsters out of your bedroom closet—they’re that good! What makes this festive stack of flapjacks unique is orange, green, and purple food coloring. Stir up Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk Power Cakes with water (as directed on the box) before separating your pancake batter into three separate bowls. Then, mix a few drops of each color separately in each bowl and cook the batter as you normally would over a heated skillet. Alternate colors as you stack your warm pancakes for serving, and top them with a drizzle of maple syrup and a pinch of candy eye sprinkles to banish those closet monsters for good.

SPOOKY CAULDRON OATMEAL

Time to pull out your spell books and cauldron because we’ve got a breakfast brew for you. Our Spooky Cauldron Oatmeal is the perfect Halloween recipe to kick off your holiday. First, mix 1/3 cup water with one packet of Kodiak Cakes Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal; then, top your oatmeal cauldron with fresh blackberries, roasted pecans, and Kodiak Cakes Raspberry Fruit Syrup. Follow this recipe carefully for a brew that will enchant even the most beguiling witches and warlocks this Halloween.

CHOCOLATE CHIP GHOST PANCAKES

There’s no feeling quite as ominous as the feeling of a ghost in the room, right? When your hair starts to stand on end, and you feel the chills run down your spine, we’ve created this recipe for Chocolate Chip Ghost Pancakes to send those spirits back to their graves. The secret to these pancakes is 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted and drizzled over a tall stack of Kodiak Cakes Chocolate Chip Power Cakes. When you’re ready, use a piping bag (or pre-made whipped cream from the store) to pipe a whipped cream ghost on top of your chocolate covered pancakes. Then, dip a toothpick in the leftover melted chocolate to give your ghost a pair of eyes and a mouth to help ward off all of this year’s haunting holiday “boo’s!”

CARAMEL APPLE DIP

Are you looking for Halloween recipe ideas to snack on as you pass out candy to all the neighborhood screamers that come knocking at your door this Halloween? Look no further; we’ve created this Caramel Apple Dip for this exact occasion. But this isn’t just any old caramel concoction. We’ve crafted this dip to include the sweet taste of cream cheese frosting, caramel, and toffee bits in every bite. To serve, stir up the pot with apple slices and Kodiak Cakes Bear Bites.
