KODIAK CAKES HOLIDAY TREATS

When winter is calling and temperatures are dropping, it’s tough to muster up the gumption to go outside where Old Man Winter waits to nip at your nose. But if there’s anything that will warm your spirits this holiday, it’s baked goods. So grease up your favorite baking dish and preheat your oven, because we’re bringing Christmas to your kitchen with five holiday treats!

BLOOD ORANGE CHOCOLATE TART

Chocolate and orange is a classic holiday pairing—and for good reason. Our Blood Orange Chocolate Tart recipe brings together the rich taste of chocolate from our Kodiak Cakes Dark Chocolate Flapjack & Waffle Mix and Lily’s Blood Orange Dark Chocolate Bar. Fresh blood orange slices atop the tart delivers the sweet taste of orange with every bite. For even more festive flavor, we suggest garnishing your tart with pomegranate seeds or sprinkling your masterpiece with powdered sugar to bring the hint of fresh snowfall inside!

GINGERBREAD COOKIE BARS

Decorating gingerbread is a long-standing Christmas tradition that is fun for the whole family. You may love carefully placing gum drop buttons on the belly of your freshly baked gingerbread man or piping frosty icicles on the rooftop of your gingerbread house. We’re trying something new this year—instead of cookies, we’re making Gingerbread Cookie Bars. These fluffy bars are topped with a smooth layer of cream cheese frosting that makes it easy to decorate each bar with any Christmas candies you wish!

HOLIDAY SUGAR COOKIES

Sugar cookies aren’t just a popular holiday treat, they’re Santa’s favorite! Crafted with Kodiak Cakes All-Purpose Baking Mix, our Holiday Sugar Cookies are full of whole grains and protein to help keep Santa satisfied as he flies across the globe on Christmas Eve—in fact, they’re so tasty, he may even treat his reindeer to a cookie too. Keep the Christmas Spirit alive by using your favorite holiday cut-outs!

PEPPERMINT BROWNIES

If there’s one flavor that chimes Christmas, it’s peppermint, and our festive Peppermint Brownies are a perfect Christmas treat to enjoy by the fire with a cup of hot cocoa. These brownies are made with 100% whole grains, so you don’t have to feel even a tiny bit guilty about reaching for seconds. Santa’s elves suggest adding one teaspoon of peppermint extract to the brownie batter for that extra taste of Christmas.

GINGERBREAD CINNAMON ROLLS

We don’t know about you, but all we can think about when we catch a whiff of freshly baked cinnamon rolls is when we can finally taste that sticky mess. To satisfy our craving for this delicious pastry, we’ve created our own recipe for Gingerbread Cinnamon Rolls using Kodiak Cakes Buttermilk Power Cakes and holiday spices like: ginger, cloves, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Don’t forget to spread the glaze over your rolls when they are fresh out of the oven—cinnamon rolls are best served warm!
