A stack of these warm, sweet, healthy sautéd apples and cinnamon pancakes will satisfy all your cravings and keep you full all morning. Start by sautéing freshly chopped apple slices in a pan, we recommend a Granny Smith, but you can use whichever apple variety you prefer or have on hand. Add in cinnamon and butter to really deepen the flavor then, when the apples are soft but not mushy, layer on top of a piping hot stack of Kodiak flapjacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 apples, peeled and chopped
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup Kodiak Cinnamon Oat Power Cakes Flapjack and Waffle Mix
  • 1 cup water

Directions

  1. Place butter, apples, maple syrup, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a pan and cook for 4-5 minutes or until apples soften
  2. Meanwhile, stir Kodiak mix and water together until combined
  3. Pour 1/4 cup batter onto a heated and greased pan or griddle. Cook on medium-high heat until bubbles form. Flip and continue to cook until golden brown
  4. Top flapjacks with cooked apple topping and serve warm
